I am a 28-year-old politician, student of international business and a husband from Turku.
I am born and bred citizen of Turku and, thus, everything about the city interests me. I have an innate desire to be a part of the decision-making unit of this city. Therefore, joining politics was inevitable. Hence, I am now standing for election to the Turku City council as a candidate of Christian Democrats! Besides the above-mentioned, I am interested and passionate towards other things as well. I find humanitarian and voluntary work to be close to my heart. I have spent three months in Ghana as a school assistant, and 1,5 years in Istanbul as an office worker in a religious institution. Through those times (and other spells abroad as well), I have learnt to appreciate and cherish different cultures and ways of thinking.
Furthermore, as a man of faith I am intrinsically interested in learning more about Christianity and growing in my faith. However, I also find joy in studying other religions, and I am eager to learn more about them.
Another recreational hobby of mine has always been ice hockey. I am a massive supporter of TPS and, hence, I can often be found sitting on the rafters of Gatorade Center during the games.
Within this blog, I will uncover issues related to Turku, being the citizen of this great city, politics, and life in general at times as well. My main language will be Finnish but I aim to publish at least some of the context in English as well.
